Malinda Ann Baird

On May 7, 2026, Malinda (Lindy) Ann Baglin Baird, one day short of her 98th birthday, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on May 8, 1928, to Sherman and Alta (Matney) Baglin in Bonner Springs, KS. She had 2 siblings, Peggy Oliver and Edwin Fahnestock. Lindy accepted Jesus as her Savior as a teenager in 1942. She graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1947, Bible Baptist Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas in 1950, Kansas University in 1970 and Webster University in 1975. She married Dorrell Tindle Baird on August 24, 1957 at Kansas City Baptist Temple, Kansas City, Missouri. They had three children. Lindy taught in the Shawnee Mission School District for 24 years, retiring in 1995. She was a Bible Study Fellowship group leader for 20 years. She spent most of her life in the Kansas City area and was a member of Lenexa Baptist Church. Lindy is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dorrell Baird. She is survived by her loving children, Suzanne (Keith) Williams, Sharon (Rob) Hoffman and Steve (Lisa) Baird. Lindy had seven grandchildren, Missy (Keith) Robinson, Tara Dunn, Mindy (Rick) Martens, Brittany (Shane) Drury, Noah (Amie) Baird, Josiah Baird, Micah Baird and 10 great grandchildren.
