Marilyn Carrell

Marilyn S. Carrell, 71, of Prairie Village, KS, passed away due to complications from ALS on February 6th, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Bill Carrell; her son Brad (Jill); her sister Faye (Phil) and her 2 grandchildren. A visitation will be held at 9am on Sat. Feb. 17th at Country Club Christian Church on 6101 Ward Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64113, with a memorial service at 10am. Burial will follow at the Johnson County Memorial Garden, 11200 Metcalf Ave, OP KS at 11:45am. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that support for one of her favorite causes would be gratefully accepted as an alternate. Marilyn supported the Virginia Reed Food Drive c/o Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri 64113. Marilyn was always known for her ever-present smiles and gentle laughter. She enjoyed book club, singing in choir, dancing, mystery novels and her friends. Her courage and positive spirit throughout her battle with ALS was an inspiration. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends!
