Marsha O’Brien Pasmore, 81, died peacefully Thursday, July 31, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Aberdeen, SD, to Brodie and Cleo O’Brien. Marsha grew up and attended schools in Leawood, KS. She graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural (North). She went on to attend the University of Kansas and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority.

She was blessed to be reunited with a friend from her youth, Richard Pasmore and they married in 1985. Together, they shared many happy years entertaining family and friends at their homes in Prairie Village and the Lake of the Ozarks.

Marsha was a caring person to everyone in her life, always thinking of ways to make others happy. She often wrote notes to her family telling them how proud she was of them and their families. She passed on to her children and grandchildren the importance of family, putting together albums for her grandchildren with pictures of their relatives for keepsakes.
Marsha loved being in Kansas City, close in proximity to her family, but her heart was never more at peace than when she was sitting on her dock at the Lake with her fishing pole in the water or just taking in the beauty of the Fall color splendor, or watching her hummingbirds and myriad of other birds that she kept well fed with her numerous feeders from her rocking chair on the deck.
Marsha and Richard were always entertaining at the Lake, Richard's famous breakfasts and their amazing dinner spreads were enjoyed by many.
Marsha was an avid reader and had an extensive book collection which she would happily share with anyone looking for a good story. She was a loyal KU basketball enthusiast and never missed a televised Jayhawk game, proudly displaying her flag on the front door for all to see. Marsha loved her schnauzers and spoiled them rotten; K.C, Little Bit and, last but not least, Misty, who never ventured too far from her side in recent years.
Holidays were always a special time for Marsha and she went to great lengths to add her warmth and special touch. The Christmas tree always overflowing with hand-wrapped, specially selected gifts, hardly allowing enough room for all the recipients. She devoted much thought and many hours to assembling Christmas bags for all the special people in her life and all the employees at Richard's business. Easter egg hunts for the grandchildren were always a treat, each egg hand placed with an assortment of surprises inside. St. Patrick's day was a perennial big event for Marsha as she was very proud of her Irish legacy. She often delivered Corned beef and cabbage dinners to all complete with a 6 pack of Guiness to make it truly official. The annual family gathering at the lake house for the 4th of July ranks at the top of the list for special events, so many happy memories created and enjoyed.
Marsha and Richard devoted many hours planning, preparing for and entertaining during their 50th High School Reunion. They both enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and sharing fond memories. They also enjoyed their many road trips in the RV to visit family members or just seeing sights of interest. Trips to the Downtown Farmers Market always took Marsha back to her youth when she would visit her father at work in his produce business. Marsha also had her favorite TV shows that were rarely missed to include: Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud and Judge Judy.

Those we love remain with us,
For love itself lives on, and cherished memories
never fade because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never be more than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.
