Martha Simpson
September 2, 1926 — October 30, 2017
Martha McLean Simpson, 91, passed away on October 30, 2017.
She was born in Kansas City, Missouri and lived in the Kansas City and Johnson County area her whole life.
She enjoyed being a part of the Art Community, exhibiting her painting’s and teaching in the Shawnee Mission School District with a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts Education from the University of Kansas. She taught in the Shawnee Mission School District for 20 years.
Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Royal.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Nancy Swanson; son-in-law, Harry; and
grandson, Christopher. She also leaves two great-granddaughters.
Per Martha’s wishes, there will be no services, but please feel free to visit her and Royal’s niche at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Courtyard of Memories in the indoor mausoleum, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.
