Mrs. Mary Engelman

Mary Ellen Engelman, 65, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014.
She was born on October 20, 1948 to Raymond and Rose Thorsness in Kidder, SD. She had a servant’s heart and spread her love and spiritual devotion to many through her roles of Mom, Wife, Sister, Friend, and Minister. She is now in the loving arms of the Savior she so fervently served.
She is preceded in death by her husband Erland Engelman, her parents, one brother, Donald Thorsness, one sister, Ardys Lorensberg and one granddaughter, Lexie Engelman.
Mary is survived by three children, Bryan (Kim) Engelman (Overland Park, KS), Brent (Natalie) Engelman (New Bern, NC) and Becky (Nathan) Suddarth (Indianapolis, IN); three siblings, David Thorsness, Larry Thorsness and Debbie Hannasch; and eight adoring grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Swanson – Peterson Funeral Home, 1224 6th St, Howard Lake, MN 55349. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at St. James Cemetery on Dutch lake..
