Mary Catherine Guggemos, 77, of Prairie Village, KS, died peacefully in her home on Monday, March 31, 2014.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley "Bud" Guggemos.
She is survived by her two daughters, Becky Bakker-Arkema and her husband, Erik, and their children Peter, Gretchen and Jack; and Beth Forbes and her children Andrew and Brady. She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Martha Curtis and her husband Les and family, and Bettie Koenig and her family, and many other family members dear to her heart. She also leaves behind a family of close friends who gave her strength over this past year.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Saturday, April 5, at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS, followed by a private burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS.
