Mary E. Hodges, 85, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, June 16, 2007.
Mary was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, January 7, 1922 to Roy K. and Nicie Lane Hodges. She lived in New York City most of her life and worked for TWA for over 40 years. She moved to Overland Park in 1988.
Mary was active in volunteerism through the JCCC Brown & Gold Club and Overland Park Regional Medical Center. She was a world traveler and an animal lover. Mary had appreciation for the arts and supported several museums.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Medicine?s Hall of Fame and Museum 10640 West 87th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66215 or to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7611 State Line, KC MO, 64114.
She is survived by three brothers; Bruce E. Hodges, M.D. (Cathy) of Overland Park, Jerry T. Hodges (Mary Jo), Indiana, and Galen Hodges (Monte) of Oklahoma. Sisters-in-law: Martha Hodges, Gardner, Daisy Hodges, Joplin, MO, Irene Hodges, Lenexa, and many nieces, nephews and endearing life-long friends.
The family is most appreciative of the services provided by Good Shepherd Hospice.
