Mary Jane Caroline Johannsmeyer

Mary Jane Johannsmeyer, 77, was born to Erhardt and Dorothy Johannsmeyer in St. Louis, MO on June 17, 1946. She graduated from the University of Missouri and moved to Kansas City. Mary Jane worked with data processing in the telecommunications field.  She first worked for the Federal Reserve, then Montgomery Ward, followed by Control Data and lastly United Telecommunications which became Sprint. She retired from Sprint in 2006.

Mary Jane was known to be an exceptionally wonderful friend to many. She loved snow skiing, lake weekends and girl's trips. Mary Jane made any get together an event to be remembered. And, she was always willing to help anyone in need.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Erhardt and Dorothy Johannsmeyer. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Johannsmeyer (Beverly) and her nephew, Jeffrey Johannsmeyer (Michelle).

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 17th at Johnson County Chapel from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Mary Jane enjoyed having a good time and her final request was for friends and family to enjoy a party upon her passing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
