Maxine McCallon

Maxine C. McCallon, 97, formerly of Overland Park, KS., passed away on June 10, 2018 at Avow Hospice House in Naples, Florida.  A visitation will be held Saturday, June 16 from 10 to 11 am, followed by a service at 11am, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210.

Maxine was born August 12, 1920, in Kansas City, MO to Bertha Gill and Louis Taylor.  Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne McCallon; son, Gary McCallon; brother, John Armon; and daughter-in-law, Sandy McCallon.

She is survived by her son, Larry McCallon; daughter, Linda McCallon; her son-in-law, Ryan Stewart; granddaughter, Stacy Carpenter; grandson, Brian McCallon; granddaughter, Melinda McCallon; and several great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Maxine’s name to Avow Hospice (avowcares.org) or a charity of your choice.
