Maynette Lindell

November 27, 1920 — October 8, 2014

Maynette (Sellin) Lindell, 93, of Lenexa, KS, passed into eternity on Oct 8, 2014.

Maynette was born in Yakima, WA, on November 27, 1920 to August and Erica Sellin.  After graduation from Yakima High School in l938, she moved to Seattle, WA where she met a young intern from North Park Seminary.  On August 26, 1944, she married Rev. Glenn Lindell, the love of her life for 70+ years.  Together they ministered to 16 Covenant churches.  Maynette will be remembered as a faithful helpmate, a dedicated mother, loving grandma/great-grandma, and quintessential hostess.

She was preceded in death by husband, Glenn, and son, Stuart.

She is survived by daughter, Sandie (Tom) Anderson, Lenexa; daughter-in-law, Barb Lindell, Overland Park; grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott) Gillam, Nate Anderson, Josh Anderson (Miranda),  Brooke (Chase) Moore; sister-in-law, Eunice Lindell; brother-in-law, Wayne Lindell (Bettilou); and 4 beautiful great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct 13, 2014, at Hillcrest Covenant Church, 8801 Nall Ave, Prairie Village, KS 66207. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. The family suggests memorials to Covenant World Relief, 8303 W Higgins Road, Chicago, IL 60631.
