After a valiant battle with AML, Michael Klinock, 67, passed away on July 7, 2024, at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Mike dedicated his life to his family. He enjoyed nothing more than helping those he loved with everything from assembling Barbie’s Dream House to plumbing a sink. He leaves a legacy of love and a Mike size hole in the everyone’s to do list. Mike spent most of his professional career as CFO of Comet Industries. At Comet he found more than employment, he found a family.
Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna, his daughters Molly Hermreck (Andrew), Allison Miller (Jake), his grandchildren, Evelyn, Lucy, Owen, June, his mother, Doris and brother, Donald.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shune and the KU BMT team for their tireless dedication to Mike’s care. Mike and his family feel blessed to have had the team’s support throughout this journey.
Mike will be remembered in a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, the Alzheimer’s Association or the KU Endowment.
