Nancy Jean Aliber

Nancy Jean Aliber, age 76, of Leawood, Kansas, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Addington Place of Prairie Village.  Nancy is survived by her daughter, Nicole Lee Fisher and her husband David, her grandchildren:  Tristan, Iris, and Frances, and Nancy's sister, Dorothine Kulp and her husband Dan and their three children; Chris, Nancy, and Mark.  Nancy was born in Springfield, Missouri and moved around as a child, living on multiple Air Force bases including in Japan and Germany.

Nancy eventually returned to Springfield and while attending Southwest Missouri State University, she met the love of her life, Steve Aliber.  Steve and Nancy were married shortly before he left for Vietnam.  Upon his return, they moved to Kansas City and shorlty thereafter began a family.  Nancy was active in her church, first at St. John's Methodist Church, and then at Colonial Presbyterian Church.  She was very involved in Bible Studies, small groups, and volunteering.  She also greatly enjoyed her neighborhood book club, Bunco groups, and wedding planning at Colonial Presbyterian Church.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Britain, her son, Matthew Todd Aliber, and her loving husband, Steve.

Nancy, we so love you, and expectantly look forward to seeing you again with the Lord.  John 11:25 - Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life.  The one who believes in me will live, even though they die."

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall Rd., KCMO, 64114 on January 17, 2024 at 10:00am.
