Nettie N. Womack, 83, long time resident of Kansas City, MO died peacefully in her home on December 31 to join her loving husband, Joel B. Womack. Together they owned the Berliner Bear Restaurant for over 40 years. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, especially apple strudel (YUM!). She will be greatly missed as a mother, grandmother, entrepreneur and a friend. Nettie was known for her great sense of humor, strength and her zest for life. She leaves memories to be cherished by her two sons, Joel C. Womack, Bill Womack; two daughters, Gloria Burggraf, Linda Sharp; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 5 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 815 E. Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210.
