Patrick G. Galvin , 87, loving father and grandfather, passed away April 30, 2024, at University of Kansas Medical Center. He was born on January 7, 1937, to Floyd James Galvin and Sadie Barker Galvin.  On January 24, 1959, Patrick married Patricia Lee Williamson in Kansas City, KS, and they were married for 45 years. He was a longtime executive for Exxon Mobil and retired at age 57.  Patrick was a member of Elks Lodge #26 in Kansas City, MO for over 40 years where he had many friends.  He enjoyed working in his yard, photography, as well as composing poems and children’s stories.  Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia, and brothers Floyd Jr and Eugene. He is survived by daughter Susan Bartlett and her husband, Mark, of Overland Park, KS; son Scott Galvin and his wife, Carolyn, of Prairie Village, KS; grandchildren Anna, Jonathan, Emily, Michael, and great-grandson Macklin; sister-in-law Georgia Galvin along with many nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to the caring staff and aides at The Village at Mission located in Prairie Village, KS.  Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park KS, with services and interment following.  Memorial contributions may be given to the University of Kansas Medical Center in lieu of flowers.
