Rebecca "Becky" Burcham

 Rebecca (Becky) Ann Harris Burcham, was born January 24, 1964 in Kansas City, MO to Sandra and Daniel Harris.  Daniel and Sandra had two daughters, Becky and Michelle.  Her mother passed away when she was just a child.  Her father then married Evelyn Duny Harris in 1973 and they became a blended family with daughters: Arlene, Becky, Michelle and Barbara.  

 Becky graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1983.  She was active in her high school choir and ROTC and volunteered at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  After high school she occasionally sang in various church choirs.  Becky worked most of her life for McDonalds.  

She married the love of her life, John Burcham, on January 16, 1990. Becky and John had several dogs which were the center of their life.  They lived together in Mission Kansas until 2018 when they both moved to the Onaga Health and Rehab Center in Onaga, KS, for health reasons. While living at Onaga, both John and Becky converted to Catholicism and participated in Communion regularly.  Becky was a quiet but friendly person. The staff and residents at Onaga enjoyed Becky’s contagious love for life and positive demeanor.   Sadly, John passed on 1/1/2020 from Covid.  Becky continued to live at the Health and Rehab Center and  participated in many activities while living in Onaga.  She was the bingo caller and enjoyed outings to local stores and tourist sites provided to Onaga residents. Becky passed there on April 14, 2024 and will be greatly missed by all. 

 Becky was preceded in death by her husband John Burcham; younger sister, Michelle; parents Sandra and Daniel Harris; and her Uncle Paul Harris.  She leaves behind her loving Stepmother, Evelyn Duny Harris; two stepsisters Arlene Abramson Strass and Barbara Goldstein Baker; her aunts and uncles Connie Harris;,Jim and Lois (Harris) Brooks; Elroy & Phylli(Harris) Petit; and many cousins.
