Ronald Frank Pippert (Ron), of Overland Park, went to be with his Heavenly Father September 8, 2025, following several months of illness.

He was born to Frank and Gladys Pippert on June 6, 1936, in Lawrence, Kansas. He was the oldest of two children. He met his future wife, Mary Deckwa, when they were young. Both were active in the Evangelical United Brethren church, which later became Central United Methodist following a merger with the Methodist church in 1968. They were wed in the church on June 9, 1962, and were married for 61 years.

Son Robert Charles (Bob) was born in 1965, followed by their second son, John Michael, born in 1967. Ron was involved with his sons in Indian Guides, sports, school, and many other activities and overall a devoted and loving father.

Ron and Mary lived in Overland Park all their married life and were members of Meyer Boulevard United Methodist church until 1977 when they moved to the Stanley community and became charter members of the Presbyterian Church of Stanley, now Village on Antioch. Ron was active in the Session and many other roles in the church, helping to call the first pastor and launch construction of the first church building.
