Rosemary Steele Evans, 61, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Overland Park, Kansas.

Rosemary was born January 12, 1946, in Atlanta, GA to Gloria Patton and James Ralph Steele Jr. She graduated from Shawnee Mission East in 1964, attended Kansas State University and graduated from Baker University with a degree in business administration. She was an admissions supervisor at Children?s Mercy South. Rosemary was a member of the Kansas Chapter GZ of PEO, and an active member of The Village Presbyterian church.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her father James Ralph Steele Jr. Rosemary is survived by her mother Gloria Patton Steele, Prairie Village, KS, daughter Shannon and her husband Evan Brooks, Denver, CO, son Ryan Evans, Prairie Village, KS, and grandchildren Wyatt Franklin Brooks and Georgia Steele Brooks. She is also survived by her brother James R Steele and wife Marcia, Leawood, KS, brother Douglas P Steele and wife Karen, Lenexa, KS and sister Patricia S and husband Woody Longan, Overland Park, KS.

Rosemary was a beloved daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. She filled our lives with love, laughter and kindness. Her smile could brighten any room and her contagious laugh brought much joy to us all. She was a true friend and her memory will always be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 10th at10:00 a.m. at the Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kansas, with a reception to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children?s Mercy Hospital or the Village Presbyterian Church.
