Ruth Anna Brown, 85, Olathe, Kansas passed away Monday, May 28th at St. Luke?s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Thursday May 31st at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to the Mid America Chapter of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 6811 Shawnee Mission Parkway Mission, Kansas 66202.
Ruth Anna was born in Agency, Missouri and lived most of her life in the St. Joseph and Kansas City area. She also lived in Hays and Hutchinson, Kansas for periods of her life to be closer to her children. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Brown in 1964, and two sisters, Opal Middleton and Mary Catherine Cobb. She is survived by her three children, Sandi Imlay, Lenexa, Samuel Gregory Brown and his wife Kerri, Hutchinson, KS Son, Scott Edward Brown, Hutchinson, KS, Brothers, Milton Eugene Long and Louis B. Long, both of St. Joseph, Missouri, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
