Sandra Purinton

Sandy Purinton, age 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Goshen Homes in Olathe, Kansas. She was born on May 19, 1949 to Norman and Delores Beets. She was a graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching from Emporia State University and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Johnson County Community College.

Sandy spent 25 years of her life managing a home with four children before returning to the workforce as a Registered Nurse. Sandy was an RN for College Park Family Care until 2009.

Most importantly Sandy was a dedicated mom and grandma who loved raising children, going to kids’ sports, traveling to the beach and caring for and loving her pets.

Sandy is survived by her children Jason (Julie Downey) Purinton, Randy Purinton, Eric (Jen) Purinton, Jenna (Steve) Beaty and her four grandchildren Reagan, Noah and Ollie Purinton and Maisie Beaty.

A small, private family service was held at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas.

A celebration of life luncheon is planned for late winter/early spring 2023.
