Thomas Ray Moses of Overland Park, KS passed peacefully at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Friday, September 5th at the age of 80. Born October 16th, 1933 in Los Fresnos, TX, he is preceded in death by his parents Wesley & Sybil Moses, and sister Margaret Kretz. Tom is survived by his wife Linda J Moses and children: Valerie Wiley (Clint), Celeste Moses, Allison Heiman (Fred), Michelle Turpen, Matthew Moses (Michelle), Melissa Turpen; grandchildren, Adam Stacy (Cristina), Thomas Stacy (Meghan), Ellen Wiley, Emily Wiley, and Atticus Moses; siblings, William Moses (Pat), Betty Jones (Fred), Ruby Milum, Norma Mann.
Tom worked for the same employer in pharmaceutical sales for 36 years. He was a gracious, loyal, kind, and dignified man who loved his family and church deeply. Tom will be missed for his quiet counsel and beautiful sense of humor. Those who knew him were richer for having crossed his path.
Visitation will be Monday, September 8th from 5p – 7p at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 9th at 9:30am at Colonial Church in Prairie Village 7039 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
