Velma Otey, 84, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014, at Saint Luke’s Hospital.
Velma was born April 26, 1930, in Wallace Township, IL, to Harvey and Florence Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Otey and grandson, Grant Otey.
Velma is survived by her three sons, Joe (Carole), John, and Jim (Lynn) Otey, and grandson, Gregory Otey.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014, at Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Interment will follow at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the Johnson County Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Action, 10520 Barkley, Overland Park, KS 66212.
