Windsor Durm Reeve

Windsor Durm Reeve, 48, of Kansas City, known for both his incredible dance skills and well-sculpted calf muscles, passed on to the eternal golf course on October 6, 2025.

He was born on May 26, 1977 to Craig and Linda Reeve in Salt Lake City, Utah, a town ill-prepared for the rise of this meteoric star. Consequently, his parents were forced to relocate to Kansas City, Missouri when Windsor was a baby, paving the way for his dual roles as the number one Kansas City Chief’s fan and leading dance dad for the Liberty Sapphires Dance team.

Following Windsor’s graduation from Excelsior Springs High School in 1996, he, as a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, served a two-year mission in the Canary Islands, spreading love and the gospel while also developing stellar Spanish skills and a love for avocados and tuberoos (a fondant-filled licorice candy). Windsor cultivated that love into a moderate tuberoo addiction for the whole family which only got fed on special occasions.

Upon his return, Windsor, proving he was more than just a pretty face with killer dance moves, attended the University of Missouri to attain his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and then achieved not one, but two masters degrees (Masters in Clinical Nursing Specialist and Masters of Science and Nursing) from the University of Texas - Health Science Center at Houston. He then acquired a Doctorate (Doctor of Nursing Practice) from the University of Missouri, further cementing his role as most intelligent in the family - at least, until his wife, Amberly would walk in the room.

He married Amberly Gillespie Reeve on August 5, 2000, thereby nailing down the most eligible bachelorette of the area who later confessed she had been completely captivated by the calves he refused to hide under pants. They had four children - Braden Gillespie Reeve, Kellen Emery Reeve, Raelin Chelsea Reeve, and Andelin Uvonne Reeve. His children all recall a man who loved his children and would do anything to support them whether it be cooking his world-famous stroganoff or learning the entire choreography for the competitive dance routine and dancing in his seat during the performance. His quick wit and skill in imitating voices inevitably added the final punch of humor in any situation and everyone laughing to the point of wheezing is a common tale retold. Everyone knew Windsor as an enthusiastic dancer with impressive rhythm for a middle-aged white man who would “bust a move” regardless of location and time. Consequently, his daughters refined Windsor’s performance skills as he shone in their TikToks and Instagram reels, attempting to satisfy the endless demands of his followers, cleverly cloaked as followers of his daughters.

Windsor dedicated his professional life to service in health care, starting out as a registered nurse at North Kansas City Hospital before moving working as an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) for EPMG at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph

and Niles, Michigan, and ending as APRN Director at Children’s Mercy Hospital here in Kansas City. Windsor was often approached by former patients, especially children, to excitedly show him healing wounds or new scars - a testament to his skills and empathy since he was the one stitching them up.

Windsor was an avid golfer and leaves behind any number of opponents relieved he won’t be destroying them in another round of golf any time soon. Rumor is bad golf days didn’t exist for him. Windsor also passionately loved sports and the day he was able to set up multiple televisions in the downstairs den to watch multiple games at the same time stands as one of his crowning achievements. His heart truly belonged only to the Kansas City Chiefs and he stood by the statement that it was his team before it was Taylor’s. Windsor honed his skills as pizza culinary critic and road trips were often mapped around which pizza spot to hit with only mild family complaints about the lingering smell of pickles in the car from a hamburger pizza.

Windsor’s legacy as husband, father, brother, and son lives on in Amberly Reeve and their four children, Braden, Kellen, Raelin, and Andelin, his father, Craig Reeve, and his siblings, Wyndam (Melinda) Reeve, Chelsea Reeve, Chatham Reeve, Brighton (Nash) Wilson, and Bristol (Josh) Haidenthaller. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Reeve and we know she excitedly greeted him on the other side with an enthusiastic hug and dance party.

Visitation will be on October 17, 2025 at 9:00 at 6751 NE 70th Street, Kansas City, Missouri and we encourage punctuality to reduce the chance of being crushed by Windsor’s pining fans. Funeral services to follow at 11:00 with Brody Perschon officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 at Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery and will be for family and friends, by invitation only. Pallbearers attempting to shoulder Windsor’s greatness will be Wyndam Reeve, Chatham Reeve, Braden Reeve, Craig Reeve, Ryker Reeve, and Thatcher Gillespie.
