Woodrow N. (Woody) Anderson, 84, of Leawood, Kansas passed away Monday, December 11, 2006 at Kansas City Hospice House at 12000 Wornall Rd., KCMO. He will be sorely missed by the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Norma Jean, and by his family and many friends.

He was born March 11, 1922 in KC, KS. He proudly served in WWII as a Navy torpedo man aboard a destroyer. Upon his return, he joined his brothers in a family business in ladies ready to wear manufacturing and retail. He then operated a garbage disposal business for several years. Moving to the Philadelphia area he became vice president of Frances Gee Garment Co. After ten years he returned to the Kansas City area after which time he owned and operated AnsaRing Answering Service in Overland Park, KS until his retirement in 1995. He loved life wherever he was, and traveled widely with his wife in the second love of his life, their motor home.

Woodrow was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 35 years, the Masonic Lodge for 50 years, and the Chief Winnies Motor Home Group.

He is survived by 2 sons, Woody and Pam Anderson of Wellsville, KS, Mark and Kathi Anderson of Overland Park; and 2 daughters, Melanie and Bob Anderson of Tulsa, OK, Melissa Anderson-Hansen of Spring Hill, KS; and his beloved 6 grandchildren, Michelle, Justin, Kristen, Courtny, Kyle Anderson, and Alicia Hansen.
