Edith Glendening

Edith was born on February 6th, 1927 in Labette County, KS to Fred and Edna Palmer.  She married Carrol Martin Glendening, August 6, 1950.  Edith taught fourth grade at Edwardsville Elementary School in Edwardsville, KS for many years before retiring in 1989.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years Carrol M Glendening, sister Freda, brother Loren, and sister Lois.

She is survived by her son Phil Glendening (Debbie) daughter Sheri Overman (Dan) six grandchildren: Jill Clingan (Matt), Jeff Glendening (Jill), Timothy Overman (Kristin), Titus Overman (Kristy), Peter Overman (Nicole), and Philip Overman (Kristin), and 23 great-grandchildren.

Edith was a member of Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple and was a Gideon.  Memorial Contributions can be made to the Gideons International for Bible distribution.
