Obituary

Harry Robert Wilson left this world on Sunday, April 11th, 2021. His celebration of life will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be at 6:00 pm the same day at The Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens at 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas. 

He was born on March 26, 1924 to Harry Marshall Wilson and Cora Blanche Simmons Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Silver Juanita Wilson, sister Bonnie Lynn Wilson Forsythe, his brother John Earl Wilson, his wife Freda Delores Jennings Wilson, his daughter Carolyn Irene Wilson Sewell, and a grandson Paul Wayne Sale. 

Harry was A World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, 8thAir Force. He flew missions over Germany in the B-17 planes. He retired from the IRS after 32 years as a computer programmer analysis. He was a Ham radio operator and a member of the Overland Park Church Of christ for about 67 years. Harry was a very sweet, quiet, good-natured person and a very devoted Christian. 

He is survived by his two daughters, Linda Ruth Wilson Leone, and Charlotte Lucille Wilson, four grandsons, Phillip Wade Sale, Kenneth Eugene Sale, Thomas Anthony Marquis, Gregory Michael Marquis, three great grandchildren, Jonah Sale, Ethan Sale, and Dylan Edward Marquis.  He is also survived by Sarah Conkling his step granddaughter and Sarah Sale his granddaughter in law.

Burial will be at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas.
