Sharon Smith

Sharon Lee Smith, 67, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away January 24, 2021.

Sharon worked for PepsiCo for 34 years. One of her promotions took her to LA where she enjoyed the California sun and the beach.

Sharon was lively, sassy, had a big personality and a great sense of humor. She liked spending time with family and friends. She was a deep track Elvis and Prince fanatic.

Sharon shared her big heart and home with her pets. She loved Prince, Shadow, Rusty, and Dahlia. Her pets were a part of the family and provided her with joy and love. She always relayed the latest pet mischievous act with a smile and a laugh.

Sharon enjoyed Kansas sports including the Chiefs, Royals, Shockers and Wildcats. In her last days, she made sure she was comfortable and settled in for the Chiefs games and their run to the Super Bowl.

Sharon lived life with a strong faith. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4:7

She was preceded in death by parents, David and Juanita Ridgeway and sister, Sharla Englebright. She is survived by son, Ryan Carter; Ryan’s father, Ramon Carter; sister, Dava (Donnie) Simpson; brother-in-law, David Englebright; and nephew, Ian Englebright.

Due to current conditions a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
