Violet Lorene Bliss, 93, widow of Carroll O. Bliss, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the home of her son in Hampton, VA.
Born in California, MO, she was a resident of Kansas City, KS for over 60 years before moving to the east coast in 2012 where she resided on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and eventually Hampton, VA.
Violet was active in the VFW POST 869 Auxiliary, she loved playing bingo and dinner and cards with her “Friday Night Bunch”. Violet also loved to travel with her husband.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carrol O. Bliss and son, Clifford “Kippy” Bliss.
She is survived by her son, Dale Bliss (Karen); Daughter-in-Law, Mary Bliss; grandchildren, Karrie Bliss (Matt Ostberg), Lori Veneris (Greg), Matthew Bliss, Jason Parker and Elliot Parker (Kelly); and great grandchildren, Emma Cunningham (Joshua), Audrey Havel, Chris Veneris, Madison Veneris, Alec Veneris, Liliana Bliss, Drake Parker, Laney Parker and Grayson Parker.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210, followed by a Graveside Service at 12:00 PM at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
